Whats in the tank?

WATER
Water in the mix acts as a carrier, and the contact of the seed and the water will jump start the growth process. When extra fast germination is desired, it is also possible to pre-germinate seed for even faster growth.

SEED
We use a turf blend of the highest quality, which we choose annually from our suppliers. It is a tri mix of predominantly Kentucky Bluegrass combined with perennial ryegrass and red fescue. This blend is formulated to survive the diverse weather we experience in the Northeast. Any seed mixture can be used and we frequently spray “custom” mixes per customer request. Wildflower mix, pasture seed, seed for athletic fields and seeds for erosion control are common requests.

FERTILIZER
A high phosphorus "starter" fertilizer is used in the mix. The triple 19 fertilizer we use stimulates root growth and insures successful germination.

MULCH
Hydro seeding mulch is primarily used to protect the seed, and to seal in moisture. It contains a green dye, which helps us in application and provides an attractive color to your lawn while it comes in. It is non-toxic and harmless to humans and pets. Our mulch goes a step further. We use a blend of organic mulches that provide both extended moisture holding and nutrients for germination and weed prevention.
